My friend Abby is an amazing actress, but with theater being a victim of COVID, she has had little opportunity to perform in any plays or musicals! So she asked me if we could do a photoshoot based on one of her favorite books/movies – Tuck Everlasting (YES of course)!
She found a friend that fit the look of Jesse Tuck and he was available to be the character for our photoshoot! If you’re not familiar with the story of Tuck Everlasting, here is the summary:
“Winnie Foster longs for a life outside the control of her domineering mother, and when lost in the woods near her home, she happens upon Jesse Tuck, a boy unlike any she’s ever met before. He and his family are kind and generous, and they immediately take her in as one of their own. However, the Tucks hold a powerful secret, and Winnie must decide whether to return to her life or stay with the Tucks.”
You’ll have to read the book or watch the movie (it’s on Disney+) to find out the ending! This photoshoot was so much fun, and Waubedonia Park was the perfect woodsy location to get some pictures! There were two other spots I wanted to go as well, but we didn’t have enough time. I always wish I had more time for photoshoots haha!
This spot at Waubedonia is actually part of the disc golf course – an insanely difficult spot to throw a disc right? I would definitely hit that tree more than once trying to get my disc in the basket. I’ve played disc golf before and I’m not that good. But it’s a gorgeous spot!
I think we really captured the “Tuck Everlasting” vibes with this shoot! My models played the part perfectly. Whimsical, carefree, and with a heart for adventure.
