6 Month Photos – Indoor Neutrals and Baby Blue!

I get the absolute joy of taking photos of my goddaughter! She is such a gorgeous little lady! I loved doing her newborn photoshoot and now she has reached the 6 month milestone! We started out in a fall patterned cloth diaper and amber necklace. I chose a light brown bed sheet draped over my kitchen dining chairs as the background. This day happened to be the first snowfall of the season (In OCTOBER! We had 2 inches!) – so definitely no photo shoot outside without bundling up! But I was able to use the natural light from my kitchen sliding door. I found this bucket at Michael’s and it has been perfect as a photo prop. The faux fur rug is from Target and I also love using that for texture in photos.

I mean, look at those eyes! She is just so precious I can’t even handle it! My brain is like ahifuvraonvk. I used my 50mm 1.4 lens, but I set the aperture to 1.8 to get better focus and clearer photos. I wanted to make sure her eyes were crystal sharp, and it made everything around her nice and soft. Next we picked out an adorable blouse with blue flowers! I had the perfect matching blue sheet to use as the background for this one!

What a little sweetheart. Now I can update her photo frame. I do love the squishy newborn pic, but I have to keep up with this growing girl! Can’t believe she can already sit up all on her own too! She’s not even officially 6 months old yet!

6 months might just be my favorite age to photograph. Or newborn. Maybe two year olds. Who am I kidding, I love taking all the pictures ;D
